This notice explains what personal data we collect through the moldasun.com website, why we process it, who we share it with and what rights you have. It is drawn up under Law no. 133 of 8 July 2011 on personal data protection.

2. Data we process

  • Identification and contact data: your name, phone number and, if you give it, your email address, when you send the form or write to us on WhatsApp, Viber or Telegram.
  • Property data: the address you enter and the roof outline you draw in the calculator, with the coordinates of its centre.
  • Request data: the content of your message, the roof type and the figures estimated by the calculator.
  • Usage data: aggregated statistics collected through cookies, only with your consent. See the Cookie policy for details.

3. Purposes of processing

  • Preparing the site visit and quote you request, and contacting you.
  • Producing the estimate for the roof you indicate.
  • Improving the website and the service, based on aggregated statistics.
  • Meeting our legal obligations and defending our rights in the event of a dispute.

4. Legal basis

We process data on the basis of your consent, of steps taken at your request before entering into a contract and the performance of that contract, and of our legitimate interest in handling the requests we receive, under Article 5 of Law no. 133/2011.

5. How we collect data

Data reaches us through the website forms, the solar calculator, phone calls and messaging apps, and through cookies, by automated or partly automated means.

6. Recipients of the data and transfers abroad

We share data only as far as needed to provide the service, with the following providers acting as processors:

  • Cloudflare: website hosting and content delivery.
  • Google: usage statistics, with your consent, and storage of requests sent through the form.
  • Telegram: instant notification of new requests to the team.
  • Google Maps Platform: address search and the satellite map in the calculator.
  • Some of these providers have their servers outside the Republic of Moldova. The basis and conditions for cross-border transfer under Law no. 133/2011: [to be confirmed].

7. How long we keep data

We keep data for as long as the purpose it was collected for requires, and for the legal retention periods. Once that purpose ends, the data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

8. Your rights

  • The right to be informed about the processing.
  • The right of access to your own data.
  • The right of intervention: to have inaccurate or unlawfully processed data corrected, updated, blocked or deleted.
  • The right to object to processing, as provided by law.
  • The right not to be subject to an individual decision based solely on automated processing.
  • The right to apply to the National Centre for Personal Data Protection and to the courts.
