How it works

Solar panels make energy by day. The house uses that energy, and what it still needs comes from the grid. With an optional battery, the lights stay on in a power cut too. Savings depend on the roof, the consumption and the contract terms. The system drawn is an example of 6.2 kWp.

For homes, businesses or land

From 1.5 kWp on a house to 500 kWp on an industrial hall. We size the system to what you actually use, not to the biggest package in the catalogue.

  • Country house with solar panels on the roof
    1.5–20 kWp

    Home

Rooftop systems from 1.5 to 20 kWp, with or without a battery. Ready-made packages from €3 500.

  • Two long industrial roofs covered with solar panels
    50–500 kWp

    Business

Factories, warehouses, halls, farms and hotels, from 50 to 500 kWp. The heavy daytime load falls exactly in the hours the panels produce most.

  • up to 500 kWp

    Solar park on land

On a free plot we build a ground-mounted plant: design, permits, construction and grid connection, under one contract.

What you get, turnkey

  • 620 W panels

High-power monocrystalline panels: 10 years product warranty and 20 years performance warranty.

  • Inverter

Turns the panels’ output into power for your home. A hybrid model also works with a battery.

  • Battery, if you want one

Stores the day’s energy for the evening and for power cuts.

  • App and service

See on your phone what the system produces and what you use. If anything goes wrong, our service team comes to you.

What a 5 kWp system produces

It produces several times more in summer than in winter. Over a full year it covers what a typical home uses.

Work it out for your roof

Three things we tell you before you sign

  1. Power you use as it is made saves the most

Since 2024 Moldova has used net billing: surplus you send to the grid is credited at less than the price you pay for electricity. So we size the system to your real consumption and tell you honestly whether a battery is worth it.

  2. In a blackout, your home keeps its power

With a hybrid system and a battery, the fridge, the boiler, the lights and the router keep running. We tell you in advance which circuits stay powered and how many hours the battery will last.

  3. Casa Verde covers up to half

The grant pays 50% of the work, up to 200 000 lei, but panels only qualify once the house is insulated and the windows replaced, and the application goes in on feerm.md before any work starts.

Who we are

MoldaSun designs and builds turnkey solar systems, from a 1.5 kWp home to a 500 kWp solar park, with our own engineers and installation crews. We choose the equipment to suit each project, install with our own crews and stand behind the installation for 10 years. After switch-on we stay with you, with a monitoring app and servicing.

  • One team, start to finish

Site visit, design, installation, grid connection and commissioning, all handled by the same team.

  • Figures before a signature

You see the estimated system size, output and how soon it pays for itself before we discuss price.

  • We call you back the same day

And come for the technical visit within 1–2 working days of your request.

  • 10 years warranty on installation

On top of the panel warranty: 10 years product and 20 years performance. The inverter carries the manufacturer’s warranty, depending on brand and model.

  • Support after switch-on

Track output and consumption in the app, and if anything goes wrong our service team comes to you.

From the first estimate to a working system

Five steps. The whole prosumer file and the dealings with the grid operator are ours to handle.

  1. today

    The estimate and the call

See on the map what your roof can produce. Leave us your number and we call you back the same day.

  2. within 1–2 working days

    Free technical visit

We measure the roof, the shading and the fuse box, and leave you a written quote.

  3. usually 3–4 weeks

    Prosumer paperwork

We prepare the design and the documents for Premier Energy or FEE Nord.

  4. on a house, 1–3 days

    Installation

The crew fits the panels, the inverter and, if you chose one, the battery. On larger projects the timeline depends on the system size.

  5. usually 3–4 weeks

    Grid connection

The operator replaces the meter, we switch the system on and show you the app.

Common questions

How much does a solar PV system for a house cost?

Turnkey systems start from €3 500. The final price depends on the power, the battery, the brand of equipment and the installation conditions. The calculator gives an estimate for the roof you draw; the final price comes after the site visit. The visit and the quote are free.

How long until the system pays for itself?

That depends on how much of your electricity you use during the day, the system size and the electricity tariff. The calculator shows an estimate based on cautious values for the Republic of Moldova, and we check them on site.

Do the panels work in winter or on cloudy days?

Yes. Panels run on light, not heat. In winter and under cloud the output falls, but it does not stop. Estimates are based on output over a whole year, not on a single day.

Is my roof suitable?

A south-facing roof with no shading and enough space is ideal, but east-west roofs work too. There are mounting systems for tiles, metal sheet and flat roofs. We check on site.

Do I need permits?

Connecting a system to the grid involves formalities with the distribution operator. We handle the whole prosumer file and the connection, from the design to the meter change.

Do I need batteries?

Batteries make sense if you want power during outages or use a lot of electricity in the evening. Without batteries the system costs less and pays back sooner. We will tell you plainly whether they are worth it in your case.

The site visit settles the figures

Everything on this page is an estimate from average values. We visit free of charge, measure the roof and leave you a written quote, with no obligation.
